On Friday evening Bishop Lavis police arrested two male suspects aged 22 and 27 from Kalksteenfontein, and recovered two firearms that were allegedly used in a shooting incident in Kalksteenfontein. During the incident two people were wounded, where both victims were wounded once in the shoulder. They were taken to hospital for medical assistance.
Sergeant November Filander says “we immediately launched a search for the suspects at several houses that were identified threw investigation done on the scene. At a house in Ranuncullus Street and we confiscated two pistols.”
“We believe that the shooting incident could possibility have been gang-related,” says Filander
The suspect are expected to appear in the Bishop Lavis Magistrate's court tomorrow on charges of Attempted Murder.
