Three people were injured and one fatally wounded in two separate shootings that took place in Bonteheuwel yesterday afternoon.
While cycling in Bontehewel, a 16-year-old boy was shot in his right leg by an unknown male. The incident took place on the corner of Yellowwood Street and Bonteheuwel Avenue. The victim was taken to hospital, where he received medical assistance before being released.
In another incident, shots were fired at a group of people who were standing on the corner of Swartysterhout Street and Bonteheuwel Avenue. Two men, aged 20 and 23, were both shot in their legs. The third victim, 36-year-old Quintin Pallas suffered two gunshot wounds to his body and died on the scene.
SAPS Bishop Lavis Police spokesperson, Sergeant November Filander says that the two cases are being investigated.
“The motives for both incidents are being investigated. Anyone with information regarding the two incidents can contact Crime Stop on 08600 10111,” he said.
