Eleven people were injured when a bakkie they were travelling in rolled on Bottelary Road in Stellenbosch.
ER24 spokesperson Tristad Wadeley said the vehicle was heading towards Kraaifontein when the accident occurred and seriously three people, four of the eleven people were in a moderate condition and four others sustained minor injuries.
“One of the critical patients was airlifted by the Red Cross Air Mercy Services' Helicopter, with the rest of the criticalpatients being rushed Tygerberg Hospital by Metro ambulances”
The other patients were taken to Stellenbosch Provincial Hospital by ER24 and Metro ambulances.The cause of the accident was not known by paramedics on the scene.
