A child was killed on the N2 yesterday, about five hundred meters away from the satellite traffic station, in the direction of Somerset West.
“Three kids, believed to be between the ages of fourteen and fifteen years old, were allegedly trying to run across the road when they were hit by a truck,” said ER24’s Tristan Wadely
One of the children was declared dead on the scene and the other two luckily escaped with only minor injuries.
“The two patients were taken to Red Cross Children's Hospital by ER24 and Metro EMS ambulances. SAPS Flying Squad and Provincial Traffic were also in attendance,” said Wadely
