The late Communications Minister Ivy Matsepe-Casaburri will be laid to rest later today in Kroonstad in the Free State. The Minister died in hospital last week after being ill for several weeks.
According to Communications Ministry spokesperson Joe Makhafola says Matsepe-Casaburri will be having a state funeral and the service will be held at the Seisoville Stadium.
Minister in the Presidency Manto Tshabalala-Msimang, who has been running the Department since Matsepe-Casaburri was admitted to hospital, is among many high-ranking government officials expected to attend the funeral alongside President Kgalema Motlanthe.
