South Africa’s next president will be inaugurated on the 9th of May 2009.
Briefing the media government spokesperson Themba Maseko said the inauguration would for the first time be on a Saturday as Cabinet feels there are too many public holidays in April and May already.
All South Africans have been invited to celebrate the inauguration on the lawns of the Union Buildings in Pretoria.
Cabinet has also urged South Africans to come out in their millions in Wednesday’s fourth democratic elections.
