Seven people were injured after a taxi traveling on 35th Avenue, in the direction of the airport, swerved off the road about two hundred meters before the Owen Road intersection in Elsies River and hit a lamppost yesterday.
“Of the seven patients, two sustained moderate injuries and the remaining five sustained only minor injuries. The patients were taken by ER24 and Metro EMS ambulances to Tygerberg Hospital and Elsies River Day Hospital,” said ER24’s Tristan Wadely
“The exact cause of the accident was unclear to paramedics on the scene, Metro police, traffic department and fire services were also in attendance,” said Wadely
