Six male suspects were detained for questioning in connection with six house Robbery cases which were committed in the areas of Kirstenhof and Hout Bay during the course of this year.
Captain Bernadine Steyn says the men were taken in during a police initiated operation supported by a security company and executed in the mountain area between Kirstenhof and Hout Bay.
“We found several items in their possession and at their house in Mandela Park e.g. laptops, televisions, digital cameras, video cameras. We are in the process of establishing whether these items were taken during the house robberies.”
The six men, aged between 25 and 39 years are still being questioned.
Steyn added that as the investigation continues, follow-up reports will be issued to the media.
