Two people were injured when the light duty truck they were travelling in turned off the road, broke through metal fencing and rolled down an embankment into a parking lot below.
“On arrival the paramedics found the truck lying on its right side at the bottom of the embankment, where fire and rescue services were already in attendance,” says ER24’s Tristan Wadely
“Patients had managed to get out of the vehicle by themselves prior to the arrival of emergency services. The driver of the truck sustained only minor injuries while the passenger sustained moderate injuries,” said Wadely
“Both patients were fully immobilised as a precaution to protect the spine during transport due to the mechanism of injury. The patients were taken by ER24 ambulance to Louis Leipoldt Medi-Clinic for further treatment,” said Wadely
