Commuters urged to use Sunday’s timetable

Metrorail has urged commuters to use alternative transport or they must use the Sunday services. Commuters can consult pocket timetables or the metrorail website.

Management is committed to keep as closely as possible to the Sunday timetable and to provide at least an hourly service with additional trains operating as more resources become available.

Commuters with urgent business are advised to make their own alternative arrangements.

Commuters who purchase tickets daily can opt to wait for trains or use buses/minibus taxis.

Weekly/monthly ticket holders have the option to use Golden Arrow Bus Services (GABS) between 08:30 – 15:00 and after 18:00 if necessary.

GABS will continue to operate their routes until all commuters waiting at bus stops have been assisted.

Metrorail employees will be deployed at stations from 05:00 to make the necessary announcements and to ensure that commuters are assisted.

Communication to customers, employers and authorities will continue. All train commuters registered to receive short message alerts will receive regular reports on the status of the train service.
