The 18 year old South African gold medallist, Caster Semenya has undergone the gender test, after people accused her of not being a woman.

The test was confirmed by the world ruling body, IAAF, just hours before the race.

Semenya is currently in Berlin for the World Athletic Championships, where she won the first gold medal for South Africa in the 800 metres.

This star finished the competition in a world leading and personal best time of one-minute-55-point-45 second.

The results of the ‘controversial’ test are expected within weeks.
