Deputy Police Minister Fikile Mbalula has slammed the anti-gangsterism and drugs movement, Pagad, for criticising the police’s ability to fight the scourge.
Mbalula was speaking at a gathering of Community Policing Forum officials in Gugulethu last night.
It has been reported that Mbalula says Pagad should not claim to be the only credible organisation with a proven track record to fight crime.
He also portrayed criminals as people possessed with evil spirits.
Pagad is the organisation against gangsterism and drugs in the Mitchell’s Plain area.
