Agri Wes-Cape has strongly condemned the wave of farm murders and armed robberies that have hit the province over the last two weekends.

Spokesperson Carl Opperman was referring to the murder of a farmer in Ceres, Pieter-Malan Cillie a weekend ago, the deaths of three farm workers in Beaufort-West and the failed robbery attempt on a farm in Simondium over the weekend.

Opperman says the chain of events not only affects the families and immediate communities, it also has an impact on agriculture in the Western Cape and the rest of the country.
