The South African government is sending a second team of professionals to assist with rescue efforts in quake devastated Haiti.
International Relations and Cooperation spokesperson Saul Molobi says the team will comprise mainly forensic pathologists who will help identify bodies.
The South African team already in Haiti consists of about 40 people, mainly medical staff and engineers.
Molobi says South Africa hopes to raise 30-million-Rands for the rescue effort.
