Members of the Congress of the People and the Democratic Alliance walked out of the National Assembly following a ruling on a statement made by COPE MP Mluleki George yesterday on the State of the Nation Address.
George was criticised for the seriousness of the allegation that President Jacob Zuma was leading the country to lawlessness.
Deputy Speaker Nomaindia Mfeketo asked George to retract the statement, but he refused. George was told to leave the house and in solidarity members of the Democratic Alliance and Congress of the People walked out.
