44 year old taxi driver will appear in the Somerset West Magistrate’s Court today on charges of reckless and negligent driving.
The man was arrested on Thursday after he had stuffed 26 passengers into a 14 seater taxi.
The taxi was travelling on the N2 when it was stopped by traffic officials during their stop and search operations.
The suspect was taken to the Somerset West police station and his vehicle was confiscated.
