A 23 year-old man died this morning after he was attacked by unknown suspects at his home in Saddlers Close in Hout Bay.
Conrad Griss was attacked around 2am and his attackers flee the scene on foot.
According to the father, he was woken up by dogs barking and his son's call for help.
Police say paramedics attended to the son, but he later died on the scene.
“The father indicated that he saw two unidentified males fleeing through the window in the guestroom,” police spokesperson Tanya Lesch said.
Lesch says when his father came to investigate, he saw his son holding his face covered in blood.
It is alleged that the deceased approached the suspects with a pellet gun.
A hammer was found on the crime scene.
At this stage it is unknown whether anything was taken from the house.
No description of the suspects could be given by the father.
Investigations continue.
