Assistance in apprehending abduction suspects

The Steenberg Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is requesting the assistance of the public in tracing four abduction suspects.

The incident occurred in Newlands at the weekend where an 18 year old female victim walking in Claremont Boulevard, next to the Newlands Rugby stadium was approach by a Black Jeep vehicle on Saturday with four occupants, two seating in the front, and another two at the back.

Police spokesperson Captain Frederic Van Wyk says the vehicle stopped next to her to ask for directions.

“Minutes later the victim was pulled into the vehicle by the occupants in the back.

The suspects blind folded her and forced her to drink an orange drink but minutes later the victim lost consciousness,” said Captain Frederic Van Wyk.

The victim later woke in an unknown house with another lady where she was forced to undress while another suspect positioned her into different sexual positions with another suspect taking several photos of them.

The following day the victim was blindfolded again and taken to another unknown location where she was introduced to another male, where photos of her were shown to him.

On Monday morning she was taken back, blindfold and dropped on a nearby bridge.

Van Wyk says the victim suspect that she was in the Somerset West area.

Van Wyk says the vehicle is a Black Jeep, possible 4x4 with no registration number and with dark tinted windows.
