Delft police is requesting public assistance in identifying a culpable homicide victim.
Captain Joe Wilson says the driver alleged that he was traveling down the road when the pedestrian emerged from between three vehicles parked along the road.
“The pedestrian ran into the path on the oncoming taxi. The emergency services treated the injured male on the scene, but he subsequently died in the ambulance,” said Wilson.
No Identification documents were found on the deceased.
The deceased was wearing a white flannel top with brown pants and shoes.
Anyone with information about the incident or who can assists in the identifying of the deceased is requested to contact the Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Clinton Franks at Delft SAPS on (021) 954 9000.
