Four people have been arrested for being in possession of drugs to the value of R250 000 in Kraaifontein.
Metro police spokesperson Nowellen Petersen says the arrest comes after they obtained a search warrant at a suspected house in Scotsdene, Kraaifontein.
“The officers acted on information about illegal activities taking place at suspected drug dens in the area and search warrants were obtained to search the houses.
“In the process thirty three large packets containing TIK with the street value of R250 000, were found and confiscated,” said Petersen.
Petersen also added that they confiscated 15 mandrax tablets and cash to the value of R50 000.
“The curse of drugs is negatively impacting our communities and we found that they are tired of all the drug abuse and dealings, so much so that people are coming forward with information regarding drug related activities in their areas,” said Petersen.
