The African National Congress Youth League leader Julius Malema is to appear before the party’s disciplinary committee today.
Media reports say Malema is facing charges of ill discipline following his public behaviour in recent weeks.
However the ANC has retaliated that what happens to this hearing is no body’s business, rather than the party's.
“What happens to Malema next is the ANC’s business not any ones and he is leading the ANCYL not any party,” said party spokesperson Jackson Mthembu.
Mthembu was fuming during the interview with the Bush Radio news team last week when he was asked about Malema’s behaviour.
He said the ANC has never failed to prepare Malema, but just like any human being the Youth League leader also makes mistakes.
Last week President Jacob Zuma rebuked Malema following his behaviour towards a BBC reporter at the league’s media conference at Luthuli house in Johannesburg after calling him a ‘bastard’ and a ‘bloody agent’.
Meanwhile, the ANCYL’s Floyd Shivambu refused to comment saying if there is anything that needs to be communicated to the media they will release a statement.
