The South African Transport and Allied Workers Union announced it will embark on strike action tomorrow.
The Union says about 1000 of their members employed at the Road Accident Fund will halt services in Johannesburg and Pretoria as workers hand over a memorandum of demands to the National Transport Department.
Employees at the RAF have cited concern over their job security under the corporations’ new operating model as a grievance.
According to media reports, Satawu’s Tinzi Lubabalo said negotiations have deadlocked and an attempt to interdict the strike by the corporation failed.
