The case of the England soccer fan who entered his national team’s changing room last week has been remanded till later this week.
Pavlos Joseph appeared before a special Cape Town World Cup court for the second time yesterday, and will only have his case heard on Friday.
Joseph’s passport has been confiscated by police, and he is barred from going to any other World Cup matches until his case is finalised.
Meanwhile the National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure yesterday said they have taken notice of the death threats levelled against Nigerian World Cup midfielder, Sani Kaita.
Numerous threats are said to have been sent to Kaita by email, many of them from Nigeria.
Police say all 32 teams in the tournament are receiving close personal protection.
