A foreign shopkeeper was shot and killed in Khayelitsha yesterday morning but police say the murder cannot be linked to xenophobia.
Two men who accompanied the victim from Makhaza where he goes to buy provisions for his store were wounded when the bakkie they were travelling in was hijacked.
Three men approached the shopkeeper and his companions at a red robot. The hijackers also made off with an undisclosed amount of money. No arrests have been made.
