A police constable from Goodwood has been arrested for allegedly that beating a handcuffed suspect to death.
The Independent Complaints Directorate reported that the constable and his two accomplices were charged with murder after Asanda Dondolo, 20, was found dead in police cells.
The three are expected to appear at the Khayelitsha Magistrate's Court on Wednesday 28 July.
A post mortem is expected at Tygerberg Forensic Pathology Services on today.
The recent arrest brings the number of police arrests to three in less than a week in the province.
The deceased was suspected of breaking into the police officer's car.
