South African Football Association president Kirsten Nematandani says Pitso Mosimane will become the new Bafana Bafana head coach.
The national body confirmed at a press conference during the World Cup, in which they revealed that Mosimane was their only candidate.
It was public knowledge that Carlos Alberto Parreira’s agreement was to take Bafana to the World Cup.
Nematandani has now confirmed that the former SuperSport United coach and assistant coach to the national team will fill the void but there are a few matters which need to be overcome before it can be officially announced.
Nematandani says the search is over and the only outstanding issue is around his contract.
The date for the official announcement has not yet been revealed but SAFA says it could be any day now.
