On Tuesday police arrested four people in possession of a stolen vehicle in Symphony Way in Delft.
Four occupants who acted suspiciously in a white Opel Corsa were spotted by Delft police who was on crime prevention patrol duties.
Police investigated the registration number of the vehicle and confirmed that the vehicle was high jacked in Nyanga on July 20, 2010.
Members of the police immediately pulled the vehicle off the road and arrested the two females aged 21 and two males aged 25 for possession of stolen vehicle and their possible link to the high jacking.
Delft Station Commissioner Brigadier Hendrik Jansen praised his members for their excellent arrests and stated that their conduct is an indication of the member’s commitment to eradicate crime.
The four suspects will appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court on Thursday the 29th of July 2010.
