Police arrested three male suspects for possession of a stolen motor vehicle on Tuesday morning in Monopoly street, Mitchell’s plain.
The arrest follows during scheduled crime prevention patrols in Monopoly street Mitchell’s Plain.
The three suspects was busy towing the white VW Golf when police noticed the driver hiding behind the steering wheel and started investigating the registration number and appeared as stolen.
The males aged 20 and 22 will all appear in the Cape Town magistrates’ court on Thursday f9 July on a charge of theft of motor vehicle.
Bail of the suspects will be opposed in order to link them to previous reported theft of motor vehicle cases, where VW Golf’s were reported stolen within the Woodstock area.
