A traffic officer from the City of Cape Town has been suspended following an internal disciplinary investigation into allegations of transgression.
The officer allegedly allowed a member of the public illegal access to the City’s mobile bus unit.
In addition he was allegedly paid to write off fines and withdraw warrants of arrest for another member of the public.
The officer faces a disciplinary hearing at the end of the month.
