Twelve suspects arrested over the weekend

Metro Police were out in full force this past weekend in Cape Town, Kraaifontein, Woodstock as well as Mitchell’s plain and arrested twelve suspects and confiscated abandoned drugs.

Metro Police Deputy Chief Yolanda Faro said the diver collided with five stationary vehicles that were parked in Queen Victoria Street on Friday evening. He was charged for driving under the influence of alcohol as well as Reckless and negligent driving.

South African Police Service and executed search warrants in Kraaifontein and Kensington. One suspect was arrested for Possession of dagga in Kraaifonten and in a separate incident, 65 stoppe dagga, 4 packets of dagga and 11 packets of Tik were found abandoned and was confiscated.


Meanwhile, whilst conducting high visibility foot patrols in Muller Street, Eerste River, the Metro Police officers stumbled across 24 packets of TIK buried under the sand.

In Woodstock, two suspects were arrested for Possession of Counterfeit goods and Theft, 142 Counterfeit DVD’s and 2 cell phone pouches were confiscated by the police.
