Parliament’s portfolio committee on defence has decided to stop their fight against Defence Minister Lindiwe Sisulu.
The committee was pressuring Sisulu to submit reports on service conditions within the South African Defence Force before going ahead with work on the Defence Amendment Bill.
The African National Congress yesterday cautioned committee chairperson, Nyami Booi, that his ultimatum to Sisulu to submit the reports was “ill-discipline”.
Sisulu refused to allow the committee access to the reports as she says they were incomplete.
