Lusanda Bill
21 October 2010
Transport union Satawu has stated that it may resort to industrial action against the new Aarto traffic demerit system.
Satawu’s concern is that its members will be out of work if the increase of demerit points should cause them to lose their licenses.
The Transport Department has assured the unions that they have discussed the matter with the union.
Meanwhile Ezrom Mabyana insists that Transport Minister Sibusiso Ndebele continues to turn down requests for meetings to discuss their concerns.
