Three men have been arrested for drug-dealing and Metro police confiscated counterfeit goods in two separate incidents on Wednesday.
Police officials issued search warrants after receiving numerous complaints from residents in the Maitland, Athlone, Parkwood, Lotus River and Bellville South areas.
Metro Police Deputy Chief Yolanda Faro said, “The three men were arrested by the Metro Police Drug Unit for dealing in drug.
She said, “Nine Mandrax tablets, two large bags of TIK and five small packets of TIK were found.”
The suspects have been charged for possession of and dealing in drugs.
In a separate operation Atlantis goods with a street value of R80 900 were seized and a shop owner was issued with a R15 000 fine.
