The trial of five men facing charges of murder, two charges of attempted murder and four of hijacking and being in possession of an unlicensed firearm, started in the Harrismith Circuit Court today.
The men allegedly killed a policeman and two others in 2009.
Free State police spokesperson Mmako Mophiring said the allegedly hijacked a car in Bluegumbosch near the Three Rand tavern in May 2009.
Inspector Ike Mokoena, Tshepiso Radebe and Lerato Kolois’ vehicles were hijacked and then killed.
