Consumers may be in for yet another cut in the interest rate just weeks before the start of the festive season.
The South African Reserve Bank Monetary Policy Committee will decide on the interest rate.
This is expected to happen when they meet on Thursday for the last time this year.
Efficient Group economist, Marina Willemse says an interest rate cut would go a long way to help consumers these holidays.
She adds that the MPC will mostly likely cut the rate by a further point-five-percent.
