A baby boy was discovered in a bag by an employee of KüHN Machines in front of their premises at 33 Tredoux St, Beaconvale, Parow Valley.
Police Warrant Officer Jacques Mostert says, “When he opened the bag the baby was wrapped in a khaki jersey and miraculously still alive.”
Paramedics have indicated that the infant is less than 24hours old.
The little one was transported to a nearby hospital.
A child abandonment case was opened and is under investigation by the Bellville Family Child and Sexual Offences Unit.
