President Jacob Zuma yesterday faced tough questions regarding his cabinet reshuffle.

Zuma was questioned as to why certain ministers were retained and others were fired.

The President commented that he was in no obligation to reveal the rationale behind the reshuffle.

One Parliamentarian enquired why Barbara Hogan and Geoff Doidge were fired when they appeared to be making progress in two chaotic departments.

He denied the fact that the reshuffle was due to internal conflict in the ruling party, he said “That is the imagination of whomever that this is about internal things in the ANC. That is the imagination. Absolutely,”
