The Democratic Alliance has welcomed the arrest of Mabutho Sithole, the former spokesperson of Mpumalanga Premier, David Mabuza.
Sithole allegedly paid a journalist R 5000 to make a story implicating the premier in a 230-million-Rands farm equipment tender disappear last year.
He was granted six-thousand-Rands bail in the Nelspruit Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
His next court appearance will be February,11.
