Emergency landing at CT International

An Emirates passenger plane made an emergency landing at Cape Town International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.

Deidre Hendricks said the plane was en route to Dubai when it returned and made an emergency landing. Emergency crews were put on standby.

Hendricks  said the landing had no impact on operations at the airport.

Fouad Caunhye, Emirates Regional Manager Southern Africa said Emirates flight EK773, which departed Cape Town for Dubai at 13:55 today, returned to Cape Town at 15:20 after a technical issue developed with the aircraft's landing gear.
