Hanover Park residents said today they were worried a festive season truce between rival gangs could crack amongst renewed outbreaks of violence.

Western Cape Community Safety MEC Dan Plato visited residents of
Lamond Court
earlier to discuss some of their concerns.

Locals complained that youths are always targeted and threatened before being forced to join gangs.

The community says the gangs need to make peace and move on.
