Drowned boy’s body recovered in Eastern Cape

Eastern Cape police reported that  the  body of a 10-year-old boy who drowned on New Year's Day has been recovered at Gulu Beach, outside East London today.

Captain Ernest Sigobe  said the 10-year-old boy drowned in the afternoon of the New Year's Day while swimming with other children at Kidds Beach.

The body was later positively identified by the father of the child as it was recovered.

The boy was a local at one of the Kidds Beach villages.
