The alleged Facebook rapist asked a Cape Town magistrate court today if he could be held at the Leeuwkop prison in Johannesburg until his next court appearance on the 7th of March 2012.
It is alleged that Thabo Bester murdered a model at a Bed and Breakfast in Milnerton in September last year.
He was dubbed the Facebook rapist because he used the social networking site to lure women before he allegedly raped and robbed them across the country.
Bester appeared calm in the dock as he was dressed in a white shirt and was clean shaven.
He wanted to be held at the medium C-section Leeuwkop Prison but his request was turned down.
Bester will remain at a maximum security prison until his next court appearance.
