The roads and some bridges have been damaged in the De Doorns region after heavy rains and hailstorms.

Rains and hailstorms have been pouring in the region since Tuesday leaving part of the N1 underwater.

The Emergency Services said the weather will clear up from today.

The Hex River Table Grape Association’s Boetie Kriel said some grape farms have been devastated. The farms were heavily affected by the storms.

On Wednesday the rain measured from 38 to 60 millimeters
