The South African Human Rights Commission reported that they will be investigating King Goodwill Zwelithini's homophobic remarks that he made during the weekend.
Zwelithini said at an event that traditionally there were no people who are homophobic.
He referred to gay people as rotten and that same sex relationships are not acceptable.
Vincent Moaga of the HRC says they plan to write to the King to find out if whether or not he made the remarks.
