The media society is mourning the death of veteran journalist Veronica van der Westhuizen.
Veronica died of pancreatic cancer in St George’s hospital in Port Elizabeth on Sunday.
She was known for covering the 1994 election violence on the East Rand as well as the Truth and Reconciliation Commission hearings.
She has worked for the South African Broadcasting Corporation and Etv.
