The Cape metro police will be inspecting the Cape Peninsula’s most popular beaches today.

Officers will be clamping down on alcohol abusers at bathing spots.

Monwabisi in Khayelitsha and Camps bay will be under inspection.

A confiscation of over 2000 bottles of alcohol has already been done over the festive season and 250 fines have been issued out.

Many Captonians are expected to visit the Capes beaches today.
