Gauteng citizens can expect to see more police officers patrolling the city centres on foot.

Law enforcement officials are expanding the Johannesburg central business district foot patrol initiative so that there can be improvement in the police’s response time to crime scenes.

100 people were arrested last week by foot parollers for armed robberies and hijackings.

Lungelo Dlamini said areas which have traffic congestion are being patrolled by foot to make sure police respond quickly to crime scenes.
