The ANC has expressed condolences to the family of an artist who collapsed and died in hospital later while attending the party’s centenary celebrations in Bloemfontein.
The man was a voluntary musician and collapsed on stage.
Another man who was among about six-thousand people attending the function in the Mangaung Outdoor Sports Centre also collapsed and was taken to Pelonomi Hospital for treatment.
Police said the elderly man died after he had been taken to the Pelonomi Hospital.
