Hundreds of people are expected to attend the funeral of the woman who was killed in the stampede at the University of Johannesburg
Gloria Sekwena was waiting in line with her son Kgositsile when thousands of applicants forced the gates open at the university.
She was then caught up in the chaos and killed while 22 others were also injured in the stampede.
Various government officials are expected to attend the morning’s service at the Lady of Love Catholic Church including the presence of Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande.
