Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille addressed the International Housing Solutions Conference yesterday.
It was aimed at highlighting numerous challenges that the city faces in providing adequate housing.
Mayoral spokesperson, Solly Malatsi, says the City is only able to provide 900 housing opportunities to residents.
Malatsi further said that this is a drop in the ocean compared to the number of people that is in need of houses.
